In a continuing effort to provide you with better service, Datamax / Micro is proud to announce the implementation of our Automated Dispatch System. The ADS System greatly enhances our ability to provide you with the service you expect. In addition to helping streamline our dispatch operation, the ADS system will provide you with the following benefits:
- Place a service request through our automated system OR speak to a dispatcher live.
- Place an automated service request 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Receive a fax confirmation of your service request.
- Your voice recorded service message can be transferred directly to a technician.
- Faster response time from technicians and improved access to dispatchers.
- Answer service performance questionnaires immediately after your service call.
- Receive a fax reminder for meter readings.
- Report monthly meter readings at your convenience via a touch tone phone.
Instructions for Using the Automated Dispatch System at DATAMAX Micro
To Place a Service Call
- Before beginning, you will need your Equipment Tag Number. This is located on the white or silver sticker on your machine. Each machine has its own Tag Number.
- Call our service number at 603-3001 or 1-800-777-6306.
- When the system answers, press 0 to speak with a dispatcher, or 1* to place an automated service request.
- You will be prompted for your Tag Number and Company Name. At the tone, state your Tag Number and Company Name and press the * key.
- You will be prompted for your name and phone number. At the tone, state your name, area code, and phone number and then press the * key.
- You will be prompted for a description of the problem. This message will go directly to your technician. You may speak as long as you like. When you are finished, press the * key.
- You will have the option to listen to your service message (press 1), to record a new message (press 4), or save your message (press the # key). Press your option to continue.
- If you would like a fax confirmation; press 1* for "yes" or 2* for "no". If you choose "yes", you will be prompted for your area code and fax number. Use the number keys on your phone to enter your area code and fax number, then press the * key.
- The system will read the number back to you. If the number is correct, press 1*. If there is an error in the number, press 2* and you will be prompted to re-enter the number.
When you have entered all your information, the system will respond with "Information Accepted" and return to the Dispatch Service Menu.
Note: Once you become familiar with our ADS System, you do not need to wait for the prompts to finish. Just press the * key, start speaking at the tone, and press the * key when you are done.

To Enter a Meter Reading
- Before beginning, you will need your Meter Reading Reminder Sheet. This sheet will be faxed to you several days before the due date.
- Call our service number at 603-3001 or 1-800-777-6306.
- To go directly to the meter reading entry prompt, press 2*.
- The system will prompt you for your Equipment Tag Number and the Meter Reading.
- You may expedite the process by pressing the asterisk (*) after you enter your equipment tag number and meter reading.
